So, you think your house might be making you sick.
Here is why you might be right:

• Some molds are know pathogens

• Mold can be a trigger for allergy sufferers

• Mold can manifest it's own environment

• Active fungi can cause property damage

• Mold can be a major health risk

The first thing to do is have a mold screening.

A mold screening is performed when mold has been found, is suspected, or a client just wants assurance that a home has no current mold condition. Often people with sensitivity to mold or those with allergies prefer to have their home screened for mold. This mold screening is our initial visit. This visit’s price includes up to 2 lab tested mold samples. Normally, within 2 to 3 working days, you will receive our digital report with photos of any unique findings. A Professional Mold Screening takes up to 2 hours and costs $ 250.

Mold treatment (mitigation/remediation) bid.

If there’s a recommendation for mold removal, a cost estimate for any mitigation (sometimes called remediation) suggested by AHA-MoldBusters will be provided. Mitigation/remediation is the recommended treatment or removal process of the mold and/or structural work that will need to be done. If a property has been previously screened and/or tested by AHA-Moldbusters or another professional testing company, and their review is available, or the property has visible mold, the screening cost may be set aside or discounted. If the mitigation is performed by AHA-MoldBusters, this inspection/screening cost may be eligible to be discounted from the mitigation cost. Our mitigation has a one year guarantee.

If more test samples are needed, what are they and how much do they cost?

PLEASE NOTE: Tests require a minimum wait time of 2 to 3 working days.

Air Sampling: $75.00 each, minimum two required - air samples are taken by pulling a specified quantity of air through a collection medium using an air pump. The medium or cell catches the mold spores on a slide or plastic slip. The collected sample is then sent to a qualified laboratory for both identification and quantification.

Swab Sampling: $75.00 each - a sterile transport swab moistened with a preservative is img_investigation3.jpgused to collect a sample of any suspected mold-like substance to be sent to the lab for analysis

Carpet Sampling: $75.00 each - sampling done to discover previous or undetected mold-like substances that may have been covered over or cleaned up. The sampling is done using an air pump and carpet-sampling cartridge to vacuum a small area of the carpet in order to obtain a sample suitable for lab analysis.

Full Spectrum Allergen Analysis: $150.00 each - A cross sampling of four documented locations inside the property that provides additional information regarding Dog, Cat, Cockroach 1 & 2, Dust mite 1 & 2, Mouse, Rat, Fungal Alt, Fungal Asp. Additional information about a full  spectrum  allergen sample and what it provides is available at  www.reliablelab.com  the professional laboratory we have used  and depended on for over six years.

Note: Microbial sampling and subsequent testing should always be recommended when mold presence is suspected or a mold like substance is found. It is not possible to recognize with certainty or identify the type or quantity of microbial contamination present (if any) without sampling and testing.
